Somatic proudly accepted BC’s Top Employers Award, reinforcing our commitment to employees and local communities alike.

The 2020 award marks the second such tribute; Somatic was previously presented the BOMA Pinnacle Award for “Above and Beyond Customer Service.”
BC’s Top Employers Award is a special designation recognizing British Columbia employers that lead industries as exceptional places to work. Somatic was evaluated on criteria including: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
It’s no secret small businesses are the backbone of BC’s economy, accounting for a third of the province’s GDP, and far outpacing the performance of the small business sector in other provinces across Canada. In fact, small businesses make up 98% of all businesses and employ more than one million British Columbians — more than half of BC’s total private-sector employment.
“Having a group of amazing people in a vibrant workplace didn’t happen by chance,” explained Vice-President Patrick Wu. “We foster and enjoy workplace friendships through group events, charity endeavors and, most importantly, mutual respect.“

Since Somatic’s start in 2010, we’ve established ourselves as a full-service contractor providing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and Professional Engineering services in the commercial and industrial sectors.
